Artist's Description
I recently spend a few days in the Outer Banks photographing lighthouses, beach scenes and the night sky. Before leaving for my trip, I made a mental list of the places I wanted to visit and things I wanted to shoot or try to shoot. One shot I wanted was of the Oregon Inlet Lifesaving Station at night.
It is a historic lifesaving station built in 1897 by the United States Life-Saving Service and remodeled in 1933 and 1970. It was one of seven lifesaving stations established on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1874, to serve the ships that were lost in the treacherous waters off the North Carolina coast

I am a self-taught fine art photographer based in South Florida. I've been photographing landscapes and wildlife for over 25 years now. In the last 10 years or so I've mainly been focusing on the HDR technique to show the world what my eyes see. I love capturing the colorful sunrises along South Florida's east coast mainly, but also enjoys shooting mountain vistas, lakes and waterfalls and lately I have been quite obsessed with lighthouses.
